Jacob Stelter, MD, FACEPSports Medicine & Non-Operative Orthopedics
Dr. Stelter is a board-certified physician specializing in sports medicine. He treats a wide-range of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, including concussions, joint injuries, fractures, over-use injuries and arthritis. He believes in holistic patient care, incorporating a comprehensive approach that includes both medical therapies and testing as well as lifestyle and nutrition modification and counseling to help patients function and feel at their best.
Dr. Stelter is from the Chicago suburbs. He attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Northwestern University followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Cincinnati, where he gained extensive experience in collegiate athletic coverage. He is one of the lead physicians on the medical committee for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and affiliated races. He serves as the lead Airway Management Physician for the Chicago Bears.
Dr. Stelter teaches academically in many forums, from local residency and fellowship conferences to yearly national teaching at the conference of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He produces educational content for emergency medicine physicians on various orthopedic topics. In his spare time, he is an avid CrossFit athlete and enjoys playing the piano.
